Mark was struggling with high energy bills in his Follansbee, WV home. Our knowledgeable inspector Russ uncovered that the attic was poorly insulated and explained to Mark how the stack effect was letting all of his money escape.
When the HES team arrived they immediately got to work fixing the problem. They removed the old insulation and began air sealing the attic and rim joist to stop the warm air inside the home from escaping. They then added blown in cellulose to stop the heat loss. Mark's home is now more energy efficient and more cost efficient.
