Susan called Home Environment Solutions because her home was cold all over and she had high heating bills. She scheduled a free in home energy audit with Russell to discover what was causing the problem.
Russell arrived and found old worn out insulation in the attic that was letting all of Susan's heat escape.
The HES team arrived and got to work removing the old insulation. They installed a David Lewis Attic Hatch Cover to stop the air leak from the attic stairs. Next they air sealed the attic and encapsulated the duct system with spray foam. Finally a thick layer of blown in cellulose was added.
All of this will make Susan's Clairton, PA home more comfortable and energy efficient year round.
