Home Environment Solutions got a call form Chris to discuss the energy efficiency of his Sherrodsville, Ohio home.   He was having high heating bills and still could not keep his home at a comfortable temperature.  Chris made his appointment to have a free in home energy audit.

Jeffery called Home Environment Solutions saying his home is always cold in the winter and stays warm in the summer. We sent Russell out to preform a FREE home energy audit to see where all his air was escaping. Russ found old loose insulation, unsealed wire/pipe runs and uninsulated scuttle cover. Our insulation team removed all the old batt insulation and disposed of it. Installed Silverglo foam board on scuttle and walls. Sealed all internal and external penetrations with Zypfoam. Installed trusoft cellulose on the attic floor.

The owner said their bedroom was baking hot in the summer which made it hard to sleep.

Mark O inspected their attic and found they had typical fiberglass insulation that was original to the home built in the 50’s.

Foreman Mike Y. and his team air sealed the attic and properly insulated with cellulose insulation to R60 to give the optimum results. In addition we insulated and air sealed the scuttle attic access. In the basement the team insulated the rim joist with SilverGlo insulation and foam insulation.

The owner was very pleased with the storage and has noticed a big difference in comfort.
