Air seal and blown in insulation in a Swickley attic
You can see the bat insulation and how it barely covers anything, and then you can see how we blew in TruSoft cellulose and covers a lot more.
Christine called Home Environment Solutions to have an energy audit done on her McKees Rock home. Russ took a look in her attic to find areas of heat loss. He found old insulation that was inadequate to stop the heat loss.
The HES team arrived and removed the old Insulation. They then air sealed the attic paying special attention to the canister lights. After the attic was air sealed the team blew in Cellulous and Silverglo foam insulation.
Not only will Christine's home be more energy efficient, it will be more comfortable for her and her family.
Daniel from Venetia, Pa called Home Environment Solutions to have the attic on his home air sealed and Insualted. The HES team used Zypfoam to air seal the attic and then Insualted the attif floor with TRuSoft Cellulose.
Sandy needed help with the heating bills in her home in Middlesex, PA. Russ from Home Environment Solutions came out and discovered the problem right away! Her attic had very little insulation and was just an empty space letting heat escape.
The HES team arrived and Zach and Cameron got to work. The firs thing they did was air seal the attic with ZypFoam. The next thing was to install a scuttle cover made from SilverGlo rigid foam to air seal the attic hatch. Lastly the team installed TruSoft Cellulose insulation to insulate the attic.
Now that Sandy's home is air sealed and insulated her warm air will stop escaping keeping her home warm and her energy bill low.
